Sofia had been patiently waiting for snow all the month of December. I think she thought when it snowed that meant Christmas. Anyway, we did get snow right before Christmas. It was actually a whiteout. My poor husband had to drive home in it with his poor beat up car that has no heat (he only drives it to and from work and sometimes only 2 or 3 times a week). Luckily a friend with a big truck was able to lead Brian home. There were so many cars abandoned along the highway, so many people stranded. He got home safe and sound.
We really didn’t get a chance to play in the snow until we got another snowfall on New Years Eve. Snow actually wasn’t even in the forecast; we were pleasantly surprised. New Years day was just way too cold to play in the snow. Temperatures were in the teens. Sofia had to wait a little bit longer to play. Yesterday Brian got home from work around 1:00 so after we laid Addie down for a nap we got bundled up to play in the snow.
This face is the face of pure joy!
Sofia thought it was so much fun to make snowballs and throw them at me. The snowballs really weren’t snowballs though. The snow wasn’t packing too well, but nonetheless she was having a blast.
Here she is running towards me with a snow ball.
We fallowed our snow play with some nice warm hot chocolate inside.
