I love getting out all the ornaments and seeing the homemade ones. The girls have made a few the past couple years and it is just so much fun to reminisce. Even though the girls may not remember making them I do and it is fun to see how their creativity and ability changes as they get older.
We made these cute trees today. I really like how they turned out and it was a simple craft for the girls to do.
All we needed for each tree was three craft sticks, a square of brown paper, and green paint. Then for decorating you can use whatever you want. We used pom poms, sequence, and of course glitter.
We glued the craft sticks into a triangle and then they painted it green. While the paint was still wet we added the glitter. Pom poms and sequence were then added after the glitter. Lastly the girls glued the brown square paper for the trunk of the tree.
This ended up being a super easy craft for our 2 year old. I put everything they needed on a lunch tray including paint and glue Seriously, why have I not thought of this earlier? We have had these trays for several years now and we have never used them. Well, from now on they are going to be used at craft time to hold everything they need to make whatever it is they are making.
Once they were all dry I added string to the top and the girls hung them on the tree. So cute!
