Recital was back in June. I know. I haven’t been very diligent about posting this summer. To sum it up, Sofia did great and Adeline was really nervous about getting on stage.
Aren’t they cute in their costumes? Their theme was Driving Through the Wild (the dance studio is called Drive). All the dances had an animal theme to them. Adeline’s combo class did a ballet dance to of course a bumble bee song. They were all so cute in their little bumble bee costumes. They even had little stingers!
Here are two pictures of the girls backstage soon before Adeline went on stage. You can’t really tell she is nervous, but she was just about in tears when it was about showtime. She went on stage though and killed it. Her dance teacher made her the line leader so she had a very important role to play. Then, there is Sofia who loves being on stage.
We spent a Sunday afternoon after church at the Snake Alley Art Fair.
We also went to the Snake Alley Criterium to watch the bicyclists. There are just so many neat places downtown to photograph that I just can’t help myself. These pictures aren’t even the beginning of what I took of the kids.
These black and white pictures turned out so dreamy. The lighting was absolutely perfect back in this little nook. I just wish the kids would have let me take more.
I’ll let these pictures be the first installment of our summer. We have just a few more weeks left of it. Hard to believe we will be starting school already. Didn’t summer just start?
